There are two ways to set up an email account in Netscape 4.7. You can either set up the account after you are already in the program, or you can use what's called the Profile Manager. The Profile Manager allows you to set up multiple users with different email addresses to use Netscape.

Setting up directly from Netscape
- Click on Edit -> Preferences.
- In the Preference menu click on the plus next to Mail and Newsgroups.
- Click Identity.
Indentity
- Your Name: Enter in name to be shown on outgoing mail.
- Email address: Type in your Volcano email address.
- Click on Mail Servers in the Category section.
Mail Servers
- At Incoming Mail Servers section, delete any previous entries.
- Click Add.
Mail Server Info - Server name: pop.volcano.net
- Server Type: POP
- Username: Your Volcano username
- Click OK.
- In the Outgoing Mail Server section, the
Outgoing mail (SMTP) server field, enter: mail.volcano.net.
- Click OK to exit the Preferences window.
